CZAR PFZ / FZ being a Zirconia-based restoration, it has high strength and, therefore, can be cemented with traditional cements like glass ionomer cements or bonded with resin cements. Zinc Phosphate is not indicated as it can provide an unesthetic result.
We recommend bonded cementation with resin cements as adhesion to tooth structure and to the ceramic restoration combines good marginal sealing and strengthening of the tooth-restoration complex to minimize marginal leakage and tooth fractures.
CZAR cannot be etched or silanated. For adhesive cementation the inner surface of the restoration should be sandblasted with Aluminium Oxide ( 50 microns) at 1 bar pressure and cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner.
The cementation for Crown & Bridge restorations can be carried out with either adhesive or self-adhesive cements.
When using Self- Adhesive cements it is not necessary to use a primer or a bonding agent.
